At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we provide specialist care and vital support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families. Founded in 2007 by Fiona Devine MBE in memory of her son Alexander, we have grown into a lifeline for families across Berkshire and the surrounding counties. Our purpose-built hospice in Maidenhead offers a safe and supportive environment where children and families can access care tailored to their needs.
Our hospice delivers a range of services, including respite care, creative therapies, symptom management, sibling support, transition work, end-of-life care, and bereavement support. We also provide opportunities for families to create precious memories together through our sensory garden, hydrotherapy pool, and accessible adventure playground. Importantly, we offer care both at the hospice and in families' homes, ensuring flexibility and comfort.
Alexander Devine’s work is only made possible through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and fundraisers. By supporting Alexander Devine, runners and other supporters can help ensure that no family faces the challenges of a life-altering or life-limiting condition alone. Their dedication transforms lives, bringing comfort and joy to families during the most challenging times.
