Aspire Oxford

Established in 2001, Aspire has been tackling the most complex social issues in Oxfordshire for over 20 years. We support local people into and towards employment and housing, as the most powerful way to break complex cycles of homelessness, re-offending and poverty.

Aspire empowers people to rebuild their lives and realise their potential. It provides marginalised people with the support they need, from employment coaching to refugee support. Clients improve their skills, confidence, and wellbeing, laying the foundations for long-term change. Aspire takes a person-centred approach to meet each client’s distinct needs.

Aspire supports over 1,800 people each year. Last year, it supported 131 people into paid work, sustained 342 tenancies, and created 96 new tenancies.
Aspire helps people like Fahmi, who resettled in Oxford under the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (SVPRS) programme. Fahmi attended our Work Based English course, completed taster sessions with local employers, and undertook further training. Aspire helped Fahmi to find a 4-month placement with Green Templeton College, which led to permanent employment at St Anne’s College.

By fundraising for Aspire, you will help us change lives for the better: together, we can pave the way towards a fairer, more inclusive Oxfordshire.

Happy running!
