Dimbleby Cancer Care

Dimbleby Cancer Care exists to offer care and support to people affected by cancer – the patients, their families and carers. The funds we raise through donations and legacies go into supporting the Dimbleby Cancer Care and Information and Support Services at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, and into national research projects through the Dimbleby Cancer Care Research Fund. The research we fund looks at the spectrum of issues relating to the care and support needs of people affected by cancer.

Dimbleby Cancer Care supports drop-in centres at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. Our dedicated team work alongside doctors, nurses and other health professionals offering support and information to anyone affected by cancer, be they patients or families /carers. These include practical advice around benefits, health and nutrition, psychological support such as therapy and support groups and complementary therapies including massage, reflexology, reiki healing and relaxation techniques such as meditation. All our services are free of charge.

‘When you are first given your diagnosis your world falls apart.  To know there was someone I could talk to outside of my family made all the difference.’ – John, Cancer Survivor

We rely solely on public donations to continue to support the services at Guy’s and St Thomas’, so every single donation is very gratefully received and helps us continue this vital work.
