empowerHER UK is a charity with a simple mission – to empower, support, and connect girls and young women through age 24 who have experienced the loss of their mothers. empowerHER UK aims to lift up the girl—to nurture and guide her—to give her hope, strength, and self-confidence, and help teach, “loss is survivable”. Today, empowerHER UK is the first stop on empowerHER’s International Expansion, achieving a vision of a world where any girl who has experienced the loss of their mother be provided with a supportive community, positive role model, and peer support. empowerHER UK serves girls in a non-therapeutic, community-based, and volunteer-driven model throughout the United Kingdom. All programs are free of charge to the family and rooted in a deep understanding of just how it feels for a girl to lose her mother.
