Over half of all UK adults have raised cholesterol. At least 1 in 500 people are born with a high cholesterol condition called Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH), which means they are at high risk of a heart attack, stroke or sudden death in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

HEART UK is here to support anyone affected by raised cholesterol and other blood fat conditios, including triglycerides.  We support people by providing:

• A Cholesterol Helpline - open Monday -  Friday 10am-3pm
• Expert information via our website, leaflets and diet guides
• Support for anyone affected by high choldesteorl
• Education to keep health care professionals up to date with the latest information about cholesterol and blood fat conditions
• Campaigning at governmnet level for improved identification & standards of care.
