Mildmay Mission Hospital has played an integral role in the story of HIV/AIDS care in the UK for many decades. Our history is a testament to our commitment to providing unique and essential clinical services for people with complex and severe HIV-related health conditions, and it sets us apart. To this day, we maintain a pool of expertise and knowledge unsurpassed in Europe.
Mildmay also work overseas. For example, in Kenya, we train many ordinary people to become community health volunteers, providing basic healthcare and social support for vulnerable people living with HIV. This enables those in the remotest regions to receive the care they need.
Since its founding in 1866, Mildmay has always served the most vulnerable populations. As a crucial UK player in strategies to achieve the World Health Organization target of net zero HIV by 2030, our role has evolved to meet the changing needs of our community.
In addition, since 2020, we have expanded our services to care for individuals experiencing homelessness and those recovering from substance misuse. We have also developed our specialised neurological rehabilitation services to serve a wider population.
