We are a local community organisation. We help young people in east London to develop new skills and discover their confidence, imagination and potential through the power of their writing. Last year we supported 3,295 young people. Our activities include: 1) Innovative and inspirational writing workshops delivered after school and on Saturdays from our community writing centre in Hoxton. We deliver five free writing workshops a week, during term time, for young people aged 6-15. 2) Bespoke partnerships with schools across east London, providing the space, support and inspiration to bring excitement to writing. We deliver unique learning experiences at schools that translate to positive results in the classroom. All of our activity is led by professional writers and our network of volunteer writing mentors who provide one-to-one mentoring for each young person to bring their creativity to life, and to ensure each individual young person is listened to, supported and inspired. Projects culminate in professional, celebratory final outcomes including beautiful anthologies, live performances, and much more.
