National Deaf Children's Society

NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people.

We offer free information and support to families with a deaf child. Through our publications and web forums, the Freephone Helpline, our specialist advisors and family events, parents can rely on us from initial diagnosis through to adulthood. We run various activities and events where deaf children and young people can learn new skills, gain confidence and meet other deaf children, often for the first time. We campaign on behalf of deaf children and young people to ensure that they get the education, health and family support services they need and empower families to do the same. We give deaf children the opportunity to take part in activities that they can sometimes be excluded.
