"St Leonard’s Hospice is a leading provider of palliative and end-of-life care in York and North Yorkshire. Our vision is that everyone living with a life-limiting illness should have access to the best possible care and be supported to die well.
We care for people with a wide range of conditions, including cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, and advanced heart failure. Our services include an inpatient unit, Hospice@Home, bereavement support, carer support, and wellbeing drop-in sessions. Over the past year, we have supported 1,500 local people through these services.
All our care is provided free of charge, but with only 25% of our funding coming from the NHS, we need to raise over £6 million annually to keep our services running. The unrivalled care we offer is made possible thanks to the generosity and support of our community."
