The 4Ed Foundation was established following the MND diagnosis of Ed Slater, a former professional rugby player, with the vision of creating an inclusive community for families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Recognising the unique challenges MND presents, the foundation aims to provide vital resources and support to enhance the quality of life for those affected.
The core purpose of 4Ed is to ease the financial burden on families by raising money to award grants that offer financial assistance and practical support. Through its compassionate approach, the foundation prioritises empathy and understanding, ensuring that every family feels seen and heard as they navigate the difficulties of the disease.
4Ed’s core values of compassion, support, community, and transparency guide its mission. The foundation promises to provide timely and effective help, fostering a sense of belonging among families, carers, and supporters. By maintaining openness and honesty, 4Ed ensures that all its actions are carried out with integrity.
With a commitment to improving the lives of those affected by MND, 4Ed is dedicated to building a supportive community where families can find the resources and care they need to manage their journey with MND.
