The Great North Children’s Hospital Foundation, part of Newcastle Hospitals Charity, supports children and their families who come to Newcastle’s Great North Children’s Hospital for treatment and care.
The Foundation supports a range of initiatives, including funding life-changing research, cutting-edge equipment, a financial hardship fund, and projects to make the hospital more welcoming for children. These include the funding of specialised project officers to help bring fun and play to children via sports, as well as funding entertainment systems and video games for long-term patients.
The Great North Children’s Hospital is one of the four largest Children’s hospitals in the UK. The hospital provides a full range of tailored children’s health services to children from across the north of England and beyond, including expert cancer and transplantation services.
