The Paul Alan Project are a volunteer-run charity with the sole purpose of saving lives in medical emergencies via access to their free in-person basic life support training and accessible defibrillator and bleed control kit provision for all communities across Greater London and further afield.

The Paul Alan Project was founded by Clare, after being by her Dad's side when he died of a cardiac arrest at a Fulham v. Blackpool match in January 2022.

After his death, Clare learnt that too few people know how to save lives, by virtue of the high cost of training (between £100 - £200 per person). Being appalled by this, Clare founded the charity and attended a course to learn how to train people in Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.

The Paul Alan Project have 3 trainers; in Sutton (SM1), Streatham (SW16) and Reading (West Berkshire) and have trained over 2060 people in BLS skills, for free, in just over 2 years. They have also installed 45 community defibrillators and bleed kits (as of Aug '25).

Clare's Dad's name was Paul Alan Parish. He was the kindest man you could ever wish to meet. In his name, a life-saving legacy lives on.
